Zizi Mueller’s career has spanned both performance and administration, specializing in contemporary music and advocacy of living composers. As a Consultant for both Boosey & Hawkes and UMPC (Ricordi, Salabert, Durand, Eschig and Editio Musica Budapest), among other projects, Zizi Mueller represents John Adams, Steve Reich, Osvaldo Golijov, David T. Little, as well as many developing music/theatre and opera projects with leading performance institutions.

As President of Boosey & Hawkes from 2008 through 2015, Ms. Mueller represented the leading composers of contemporary music and opera, in addition to the stellar list of Boosey & Hawkes house composers and estates. During her tenure at B&H, Ms. Mueller instituted the Emerging Composers and New Voices projects, both developed to aid young composers. She brought Osvaldo Golijov, Sebastian Currier, Anna Clyne, Sean Shepherd, David T. Little, and Oscar Bettison to the existing B&H roster.

Prior to joining Boosey & Hawkes, Ms. Mueller came with a wealth of performance and production experience, commissioning new works from a spectrum of international composers and performing internationally. As a record producer, Zizi Mueller produced projects for Naxos, Bridge Records, Newport Classics, New World and Premiere Records, among other companies. Trained at the Juilliard School, she is on the Opera America and Amphion boards, and is a prior member of the American Repertoire Council, the MPA board and the ASCAP Concert Committee.
